God made me who I'm meant to be,
He loves me just the way I am
So, I went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for Work Attachment the whole of last week. It felt like a divulgement into a doctor's life. The impression relayed by the Media turned out to be ignus fatuus, really. After some reconsideration, I thought I would conclusively eschew the Medical Route, but I'm on my second thought now. For the millionth time, I'm chagrined to say, I'm lost.
But I digress.
The course was insightful and enriching. Besides sharing his knowledge of Medicine, Dr Yap Wee See (ACJC's Mrs Yap's husband!) also imparted valuable & respectful Life Principles. And he was honest. He didnt hide anything about his work nor workplace$. I saw deaths, I saw pain. I saw compassion amidst professionalism.
It was enjoyable working with 3 vastly different comrades. When I say vastly differnt, I mean vastly different. Estelle, the one with the Bunny. Mindy, the SCONEr. Shawn, I dont know, the clown. Given my ingenerate tendency to get irate, it was almost inevitable for me to snap at anyone in the group. And I shamefully admit I did. Whoops. Shawn called me a Female Tiger. (FYI, Shawn, a female tiger is called a Tigress.)
Eventually, I dont regret spending the long, tiring but lucrative hours at TTHS.
Mindy, Estelle, Shawn.
This photo reminds me of ER somehow.
I didnt blog about the gruesome bronchoscope and all because of this:
Stir-fry Curry Pasta! (MY invention, dont copy)
Its a simple story, really.
I was hungry.
There was no food at home.
I boiled pasta to realise there was no pasta sauce.
I found a 3/4 bowl of curry and a few sticks of crabmeat.
Dumped everything into the wok and "stir-fried".
(Well, I stirred, and it fried)
It was good.
I didnt get any stomachache after that.
Tell me I've got an affinity with food.
